Rick Armstrong

CWO5 / Master Diver (USN, Retired) 34 Years

Rick Armstrong enlisted in the United States Navy July of 1975. Served on various submarine and diving and salvage ships within the Pacific Fleet. Starting his diving career at Second Class Dive School, Coronado, CA, First Class Diving school Panama City Florida. Studying mixed gas and salvage diving, received orders to Navy Oceaneering System Center, located at Point Loma San Diego, CA as part of a research and development dive team. Coronado CA as a deep-Sea diving instructor. Achieving Master Training Specialist and unlimited Diving Supervisor Rick made Chief Petty Officer Then received orders to Master Diver Evaluations. 21 years of service Rick was promoted to Commissioned Warrant Officer CWO2

Of significant

note as MDSU TWO Diving Officer during two “MONITOR” expeditions, diving HEO2 mixed gas diving missions to 254’ FSW in order to retrieve the ships steam engine and main condenser. Rick is also an accomplished painter of Deep sea Diving. He has hundreds of paintings hanging in homes, offices and museums throughout the world. His art business is called “DEEPSEADIVEART”.
